Course Description:
Participants will learn hair removal of large areas of the body effectively and efficiently, and leave with the skill of specific techniques to wax with confidence.
This course will focus on (but is not limited to):
- Contraindications
- Hard Wax & Soft Wax Basics
- Benefits & Side Effects of Waxing
- Imbedded Hair Removal
- Speed Waxing and Body Technique Procedures with Hard & Soft Wax
- Hands-on Practice
Participants will receive a wax kit.
Participants are asked to bring: Set of linens, tweezers, note-taking supplies, and a model to practice the technique one (see guidelines below).
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Models need to arrive by 10:00 am
- Model cannot be contraindicated for waxing services
- Model cannot be on doctor prescribed medication such as accutane or any other skin medication
- Model cannot have received any microdermabrasion, chemical peels, retinol, hydroquinone, laser treatment or IPL in the 3 weeks prior to course

About the Instructor:
Keenya Mikel has been a Licensed Esthetician for 9 years and an Esthetics Instructor for 6 years. After 6 years of working for a world class spa, she opened a skincare studio specializing in full body hair removal and corrective skincare services. Keenya has a passion for education and for her students.
