Individuals can explore various courses dedicated to beautifying eyebrows and eyelashes. Some of these techniques include:
Eyelash Extensions
In recent years, eyelash extensions have become a popular trend in the beauty industry. They provide the appearance of wearing mascara without the hassle of application. Technicians apply false eyelashes to natural eyelashes to accentuate and darken them.
Using semi-permanent glue, false lashes adhere to the natural lash with proper separation techniques. Lashes require fills every two to three weeks, meaning individuals must learn how to apply a full set to natural lashes and fill between existing false lashes. Lashes come in many different styles and sizes, ranging from classic to mega-volume.
Throughout our eyelash extension course, you learn how to apply lashes for a classic look. You will also receive a lashing kit and other essential supplies. Some skills gained in this course include:
- Mapping eyelashes
- Lash isolation and separation techniques
- Proper methods for pre- and post-application
Eyebrow Shaping
The shape of your eyebrows can make a significant difference in the appearance of your natural face and eye shape. The perfect brow shape can make clients appear younger and cleaner and help build self-confidence.
Eyebrow shaping also involves improving the natural look of brows as they begin to grow back. Throughout the eyebrow shaping course, individuals will understand how the different brow shapes and styles work to enhance the face’s natural contours. Using the right techniques and methods can make one’s face appear more symmetrical and highlight different eye shapes.
Since shaping needs differ for each person, the technique requires an in-depth consultation to determine the best approach. With this course, you can learn to properly measure and map eyebrows. This is an essential step before eyebrow threading and waxing to keep the eyebrow shapes precise and similar to one another. You may also gain experience in trimming eyebrows and interacting with clients.
Eyebrow Waxing
Eyebrow waxing involves using warm wax to remove unwanted eyebrow hairs from the root. Because eyebrow waxing produces longer-lasting results than other methods, like threading or tweezing, many clients opt for this technique of eyebrow hair removal.
Eyebrow wax must be applied in the direction of natural eyebrow growth, reaching areas below, above, and between the eyebrows. Estheticians typically tackle these areas one at a time, removing hairs from above the eyebrows first, then below, then in between.
After applying the wax, a strip of paper is placed on top. The wax must dry and harden around the eyebrow hairs before removal. Different from applying the wax, removing the strip must be done in the opposite direction of the natural eyebrow growth. Estheticians then tweeze the excess eyebrow hairs that the wax was unable to catch when peeled from the skin.
Our eyebrow waxing course provides learners with more than an understanding of how to maintain a similar eyebrow shape. It also covers the following:
- Proper wax application
- The different types of waxes used
- Post-waxing techniques to reduce pain
