Workshop Description:
This course will cover the history of Thai Massage, as well as the principle of the Four Devine States of the Mind, and the Three Human Essences. Participants will be able to describe the benefits and contraindications specific to Thai Massage, the energy pathways, and the equipment, stances, and body tools used. Participants will have the opportunity to practices stances and use of body tools and how they can be applied to each area of the body, and the 4 main body positions for clients. They will then begin building a sequence to address the full body, and be able to perform a full 120-minute session.
Registered Participants will received a rollable floor mat to perform
What to Bring: Clothing that is loose fitting and easy to move around in. Full sheets to cover mats, water, and note taking supplies.

About the Instructor:
Virginia has been a licensed massage therapist since 2005. Having held a massage license both in Maryland and in Washington state has given her the opportunity to work on a wide variety of clients, from children to the elderly, weekend warriors to professional athletes. She found a passion for teaching as a trainer for Baltimore area spa and became an instructor at Cortiva’s Baltimore campus in 2020. Her desire to help massage professionals increase their marketability led her to become an NCBTMB approved CE provider in 2021.
