Course Description:
Micro trauma refers to small, repeated injuries to tissues such as muscles, tendons, or ligaments, commonly resulting from repetitive stress or overuse.
This class we will discuss:
- The importance of massage, stretching, and movement and how these practices apply and work together.
- A 30-minute walk to identify restrictions and patterns in the body during exercise and movement.
- How to position clients, isolate muscles, confirm client is relaxed, and perform stretch.
- Anatomy of muscle tears.
- Assessment techniques.
- Additional topics covered: Basic and Advanced Injury Lectures.

About the Instructor:
Raju Mantina has been an International Sports Massage Therapist for over 25 years. In his early life he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education and spent 3 years as a track and field coach.
After receiving his massage therapy license, he has served as a massage therapist in multiple major sports events including the Olympic Games in Athens, Sydney, and Salt Lake City. He has treated championship runners at the Olympic Track and Field
Trials in California and Oregon as well as the Junior World Track and Field Championships in Scotland and England, the Boston Marathon and the Marine Corps Marathon. His technique has helped countless clients get back on their feet from moderate
injuries whether elite athletes or weekend warriors. Raju’s technique, Microtrauma Maintenance Therapy, uses a combination of movement, AIS Stretching and massage. As an educator, Raju has been teaching this technique for over 15 years and many of his
former students return to gain additional knowledge as he further develops and refines his approach. Raju is currently writing a book to further explain and spread the concept of his technique. Follow him on social media for regular updates and ideas.
