Workshop Description:
This is a 6-hour comprehensive hands-on training that prepares and provides students with the knowledge to properly perform a brazilin wax and vajacials.
- Theory includes but is not limited to:
- Health, safety and sanitation
- Client hair and skin analysis
- Proper Brazilian wax techniques and body positioning
- Product knowledge
- Customer service and treatment room skills
- Mannequin and live model practice
- Client building and retention
- Client consent and consultation forms
- Contraindications
- Extraction techniques
- Marketing management
- … and more.
*Participants must bring 2 models for a Brazilian wax hands on experience. Models hair must be the length of a grain of rice (2-3 weeks of growth)

Instructor Bio:
Mercedes Crump is a Connecticut based, Licensed Esthetician that trained at The International Institute of Cosmetology, in Wethersfield, CT. As the sole owner of The Guest House, she takes pride in curating, executing and maintaining a successful storefront location in Rocky Hill, CT. The Guest House specializes in full body waxing and vajacials. Mercedes has over 10 years experience educating students at various levels and capacities. Her education extends to possessing a Bachelor’s of Science degree from Lincoln University in PA. Her experience expands to working at the corporate level within esthetics, as well as on the small business, entrepreneur scale. Mercedes produces in-depth and thorough curriculums for each workshop. Each workshop includes, theory, and a demo and/or a hands-on experience. Time is also set aside to answer any and all questions regarding the topics at hand.
