Description
Workshop Description:
Thai Massage is performed with the client clothed and relaxed on a mat on the floor. The practitioner uses hands, feet, elbows, thumbs, knees, along with gravity, body mechanics, breath, and mindfulness to rhythmically move, press, compress, twist, lengthen, and stretch the clients body, from the toes to the earlobes.
This one day, hands-on intensive class provides a good introduction to traditional Thai Massage. We will demonstrate and practice a series of sequences in the supine, prone, side-lying, and seated postures, and give an overview of the history and philosophy behind this work.
Please note that this class is presented on mats on the floor. If you suffer from chronic low back or knee problems, you may find this work challenging for you.
