Course Description:
This aromatherapy facial massage technique course is for Licensed Massage Therapists, as well as Estheticians who may be in need of a refresher and review of foundational fundamentals. This class is an enjoyable change of pace that offers variety to your current massage services. You will learn all the facial basics as well as facial massage techniques. There will be lecture, demonstration, and a hands-on exchange that will include hot towel application, cleansing, toning, gentle mild exfoliation, serums, facial massage techniques, mask application, eye cream, moisturizer, and a hand treatment.
This course will focus on (but is not limited to):
- Skin types and skin conditions
- Anatomy of the skin and functions of the skin
- Skin care concepts and the basic steps involved in performing a facial rejuvenation treatment
- Product knowledge
Participants are asked to bring:
- Set of linens, including blanket
- Five (5) hand towels, and one (1) additional hand towel or hair wrap if desired
- Facial cleanser, facial toner, face serum and/or facial moisturizer, and (optional) eye cream

Participants are asked to arrive with little to no makeup.

Instructor Bio:
Alecia Davidson has over 34 years of combined experience in the massage, esthetic/skincare, and wellness industry as a practitioner, consultant, owner, and educator. She is a Licensed
Massage Therapist, Licensed Para-Medical Esthetician, Spa Body Practitioner and a Certified Professional Life Coach. Alecia has extensive post-graduate continuing education training: in advanced esthetics, specialty massage modalities, spa treatments, the use of medicinal essential oils, and as a life and career coach. She was formerly a Yonka-Paris product educator
and has also studied under several renown Dermatologists and Cosmetic Surgeons during her employment at a medical spa/cosmetic surgery center. She has been an Instructor for over 25 years teaching CEU courses in several modalities (such as: Himalayan salt stones, warm bamboo, hot stone, facial rejuvenation, lymphatic drainage, aromatherapy/raindrop technique, and body treatments including salt scrubs/mud/seaweed/herbal wraps) and is currently in private practice as the owner of Wellness Bursts. Alecia’s dedication and passion comes through in every class she teaches, and her extensive background, knowledge and expertise is what keeps her valued as a leader in the industry.
