Workshop Description:
This workshop is open to licensed massage therapists as well as licensed estheticians. Participants will learn how to incorporate the use of essential oils into a 60 or 90 minute treatment session that drains, detoxifies, and relaxes the body and can easily be incorporated into your existing practice as a unique service option. This complete body massage treatment is an eclectic blend of modalities that includes dry brushing, hot towel applications, manual lymphatic drainage techniques, along with classic strokes and the use of therapeutic medicinal essential oil aromatherapy.
This class will give you an understanding of skin anatomy and how the products that you choose will have an impact not only on the skin but the whole person. We will discuss how this treatment benefits the skin and body through the use of aromatherapy, exfoliation, detoxification, hydration, and the lymphatic system. This is a wonderful session to add to your menu and especially beneficial for clients who cannot have deep work and/or like light pressure, as well as the benefit of improving lymphatic flow, enhancing the immune system, and helping to reduce fluid build up in the tissues. You will come away with a beautifully choreographed routine that clients love and is deeply relaxing.

- Table linens/sheet set including a blanket and face cradle cover
- 4 hand towels
- One bottle of fractionated coconut oil (please do not bring regular coconut oil as the appropriate product is needed to perform this technique correctly)
Instructor Bio:
Alecia Davidson has over 30 years of combined experience in the massage, esthetic/skincare, and wellness industry as a practitioner, consultant, owner, and educator. She is a Licensed Massage Therapist, Licensed Para-Medical Esthetician, Spa Body Practitioner and a Certified Professional Life Coach. Alecia has extensive post-graduate continuing education training: in advanced esthetics, specialty massage modalities, spa modalities, the use of medicinal essential oils, and as a life and career coach. She was formerly a Yonka-Paris product educator and has also studied under several renown Dermatologists and Cosmetic Surgeons during her employment at a medical spa/cosmetic surgery center.
She has been an Instructor for over 22 years teaching CEU courses in several modalities (such as: Himalayan salt stones, warm bamboo, hot stone, facial rejuvenation, lymphatic drainage, aromatherapy/raindrop technique, and body treatments including salt scrubs/mud/seaweed/herbal wraps) and is currently in private practice as the owner of Wellness Bursts. Alecia’s dedication and passion comes through in every class she teaches and her extensive background, knowledge and expertise is what keeps her valued as a leader in the industry.
