Workshop Description:
This class is designed for licensed estheticians to grow in their understanding and education about acne. This class will cover the grades of acne, aggravating factors, and dispel common myths. You will learn a variety of several treatment options and protocols for in-office facial sessions as well as learning what products and ingredients are best for treating a variety of different Fitzpatrick skin types with acne. We will also discuss the options for and importance of client home care compliance. Acne is a specialty of mine as I have been trained under a world-renown dermatologist and leader in this area for medical breakthroughs in acne. You will gain more confidence in helping treat your clients with various grades and types of acne after taking this class. Training and education also includes the use of a high frequency hand held device. There is lecture and a hands-on demonstration with a short time of exchange. Please come to class with little to no make-up.

- Table linens/sheet set including a blanket
- 2-3 hand towels and also a hair wrap if desired
- Bring a cleanser, toner, face serum, facial massage cream and/or facial moisturizer that you would like used on your skin

Instructor Bio:
Alecia Davidson has over 30 years of combined experience in the massage, esthetic/skincare, and wellness industry as a practitioner, consultant, owner, and educator. She is a Licensed Massage Therapist, Licensed Para-Medical Esthetician, Spa Body Practitioner and a Certified Professional Life Coach. Alecia has extensive post-graduate continuing education training: in advanced esthetics, specialty massage modalities, spa modalities, the use of medicinal essential oils, and as a life and career coach. She was formerly a Yonka-Paris product educator and has also studied under several renown Dermatologists and Cosmetic Surgeons during her employment at a medical spa/cosmetic surgery center.
She has been an Instructor for over 22 years teaching CEU courses in several modalities (such as: Himalayan salt stones, warm bamboo, hot stone, facial rejuvenation, lymphatic drainage, aromatherapy/raindrop technique, and body treatments including salt scrubs/mud/seaweed/herbal wraps) and is currently in private practice as the owner of Wellness Bursts. Alecia’s dedication and passion comes through in every class she teaches and her extensive background, knowledge and expertise is what keeps her valued as a leader in the industry.
